Every vaper has experienced this and every vaper absolutely hates it. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to get rid of this.
Firstly, try changing your flavor. Smoking a new flavor is often all that needs to be done. Always try to have a variety of different cheap e juice on hand to keep your tongue from getting used to any one flavor. A stronger flavor than the one you’re used to works best for shocking your tongue back into tasting.
Most vapers know this, but beginners might not. A dry mouth leads to tasting less. Always keep hydrated before and while you are vaping for the best flavors. Since vaping does tend to dry out the mouth, it will help a lot with keeping hydrated if you drink water in between hits.
Some vapers swear by coffee. Inhaling coffee or drinking strong, black coffee can cure vaper’s tongue and restore your sense of taste. Try drinking a cup of coffee before trying your favorite cheap e juice and it might work for you.
This one might not be as pleasant, but it does work. Sucking a lemon will wake up your taste buds and solve your problem. If the thought of sucking on a lemon is too much for you, try lemon flavored drinks or foods.
Often, the only way to get rid of vaper’s tongue is by taking a break from vaping. If you’ve been vaping excessively it could have caused damage to your taste buds. Moderation is key. Skip vaping for two weeks (this is how long it takes for taste buds to recover) and then limit your vaping to once a day. It will be hard at first, but it is definitely better than having vaper’s tongue.
